How to become an SCP Stock Contributor
Here at SCP Stock, we’re constantly on the lookout for awesome contributing photographers. Becoming a stock contributor is easy-as, simply email Simon to get the ball rolling…
Firstly, you will need to provide some example imagery (5-10 images) for evaluation that will be checked for (but not limited to) the following:
- Focal point in focus/sharp
- Well composed
- Correctly exposed
- Low noise levels
- Adequate file size; minimum 16mp, 300dpi, jpeg, sRGB/Adobe 98 RGB
- ‘Clean’, not overly photoshopped, i.e. realistic representation of colour, etc.
Please note: If your imagery is deemed to be of insufficient quality, or if the type/genre of your imagery is not in line with the type of imagery which we are making available for purchase, we will email you to let you. We’re more than happy for you to submit different imagery, or imagery that has been re-edited, so please don’t get too upset!
Once we have evaluated your photography you may be invited to become one of our contributors. Upon being invited, you will be asked to provide or confirm some basic details which will be used to complete your Contributor Agreement and enable you to receive commission payments from us.
Information required:
- Your full name
- Your business / legal trading name (if applicable)
- Address
- Phone number
- Email address
- GST number (if applicable)
In order to get paid, you will need to provide the following:
- Bank name
- Branch
- Account name
- Bank number
- Branch number
- Account number
- Suffix
Once we have the above information, we will complete your Contributor Agreement form and email it to you for completion/signing. Please sign and return it to us by email (a photo of it will be fine). Once we have received your signed Contributor Agreement, we’ll then set you up on our system and await your images (preferably supplied via Dropbox).
Whilst we process your Contributor Agreement and set you up on our system, the next step for you is to select all your suitable imagery. We recommend an initial batch of around 50 to 100 images, to begin with, however, less is also permitted. Imagery is to be prepared in accordance with our Image Submission Guidelines.
Please note: Due to the amount of time required at our end to check submissions and ensure they meet the criteria required, hosting your imagery on SCP Stock may be delayed, or not permitted if the image submission guidelines are not followed.
